Why do I need special underwear during the postpartum period?
After giving birth, it is important that your underwear is breathable and stretchy to not endanger your wound healing.
Why should I wear the Mama Panty during the postpartum period?
Our Mama Panty is super soft and mesh and latex free. This makes it tight enough to hold pads in place, but also elastic enough not to negatively affect wound healing, both after a vaginal birth and for a cesarean section scar.
It is also washable and reusable.
By the way, you can also wear it after your postpartum period, as it is super comfortable. Because once you put it on, you won't want to take it off!
Does the underwear also absorb the lochia?
No, the Mama Panty itself does not absorb any liquid, as it is not period underwear. However, it offers enough space for postpartum pads, which you can also find in our shop.
What size do I need?
Postpartum: Orient yourself on the size you wear in the eighth month of your pregnancy. This is the size you will probably wear during the postpartum period. Our panty is very stretchy and adapts to your body in different phases.
Pregnancy: If you are ordering at the beginning of your pregnancy, we recommend ordering a size larger. This way you can also wear the panty during your pregnancy and after the birth.
Everyday: You can order your regular size.
